How Can I Get This Glorious Cake?

This cake can be reserved for collection from all stores apart from Surry Hills and The Star – for collection from these stores, you can visit us in store. We have a limited number of cakes available in every store each day. You can drop in and purchase a cake (subject to stock) anytime we’re open or call ahead to make sure we have the one you want. Ordering Ahead

Online cake orders require a 2-day turnaround.
If you don’t have 2 days, visit any store and buy from the selection they have available, or give them a call 24 hours before to reserve one. If it’s for a special occasion, we highly recommend ordering ahead.

Taking Your Cake Home

Our recommended safe travel time for cakes is 30 mins from store to freezer. If it’s a hot day, use your noggin… and make the trip snappy! If you want to extend your travel time, bring a cooler bag or esky.


To enhance the flavours and assist in cutting, the cake should be removed from the freezer and placed in the fridge 20 mins before serving. Always use a hot, sharp knife and ensure you wipe off any excess water to prevent depositing ice crystals on the cake.


We also sell candles which you can order online or pick up in store. All stores offer HAPPY BIRTHDAY plaques. Orders made in advance for collection from Rosebery or Fitzroy also have the option to add a name to the plaque.

The last of the Messinatella Cookie Pies are now sold out.

If you're running late for your pick up in stores, no need to let us know... we'll hold onto it until you make it in.


Refrigerate until ready to bake. Serves 2-6

1. Pre-heat oven to 170C / 340F
2. Bake for 15-20 mins (it's ready when it's golden brown on-top)
3. Remove from oven and serve with your choice of Messina gelato
If you've got enough willpower to save this more than 3 days, please freeze.

With all of that Greatest Hits action, you might have forgotten about our bake-at-home Cookie Pies, but we certainly haven't, and we're back with a banger.

Get ready to jump back on the pre-order pie action. The choc-chip classic had some work done, and is now stuffed with our handmade choc hazelnut Messinatella, making it even more delicious, gooey and oozy than before (if that were possible). Bung it in the oven for 15-20, watch it bubble and brown and dig into a melted, saucy choz-hazelnut centre. Top with your favourite scoops and voila!

  2. Choose your pick up day and time from any of our stores (except The Star or Coolangatta) over 4 days, from 11th – 14th June (i.e. less frantic, less desperation)
  3. Add your gelato and feel smug you’ve taken advantage of one of our take home tub bundle offers — its a frickin bargain
  4. Come 11th – 14th June, waltz on into your preferred Messina and pick up what's rightfully yours. You've got this!

We hope that by spreading the stock across 'pre-ordered pick up', we might just flatten the pie curve and eradicate people losing their minds because they didn’t get a pie. To be fair, its bloody delicious and you do need one.

Refunds on Pre-Ordered Products
If you need to cancel your order, you can do so if you notify us 2 days before your pick up date. To cancel, please email with your order number.
