Pick Up and Care Instructions

To find out more about each gelato cake, simply click on the cake you are interested in from the drop down menu above. You can order cakes online and customise where available for an extra $10 (including customisable message plaques).
Go to the full CAKE ORDER PAGE or simply go to the page of the cake you would like and press the ORDER button!

PRE-ORDERED cakes are ONLY available for PICK UP from the Creative Department – 243 Victoria St, Darlinghurst (SYDNEY) OR Messina Fitzroy (MELBOURNE). We cannot deliver pre-ordered cakes to our other stores as we simply do not have the storage space to hold anything other than fridge stock. Turnaround time is 2 days when ordering online.

Our other stores do have cake cabinets with standard classic stock (monoporzione are not available). Stock is replenished every day, and we can hold cakes for up to 24 hrs ONLY. Unfortunately cakes available in other stores are not customisable and pre-ordered cakes cannot be picked up here.

ALL CAKES MUST BE STORED IN A FREEZER.

Our recommended safe travel time for cakes is 35 mins from store to freezer.

Depending on the outside temperature and the mode of transport, safe travel times will vary so always allow a good buffer just in case. Using an esky, cooler bag and/ or dry ice can extend the safe travel time we suggest, but don’t push your luck, it really depends on temperature and climatic conditions on the day. Use your noggin… if it’s a really hot day and you don’t have a cooler bag, make the trip snappy!

To enhance the flavours and assist in cutting, the cake should be removed from the freezer and placed in the fridge 20 mins prior to serving. This will allow the cake to thaw/soften moderately (assuming the cake has been stored in a standard freezer at -18°C for more than 3 hrs). If the freezer is not as cold as it should be because its old or packed full of stuff, the cake can simply be taken out of the freezer and left to stand for 5-10 mins before serving. Always use a hot, sharp knife and ensure you wipe off any excess water to prevent depositing ice crystals on the cake.
