Many of you probably don’t know that our own grand poobah, Nick Palumbo is actually Carpigiani’s official chef for Australia/NZ.
What is Carpigiani I hear you say? Well, they’re the world leaders in gelato manufacturing machinery and are the ‘go-to’ world-wide brand for expertise in the art of gelato production. They regularly hold Gelato University courses throughout the world including Australia.
What does that mean? Basically that means Nick’s a pretty big deal round here when it comes to ice cream.. But he’s a modest little chap so he doesn’t really like us making a big deal about it.. His mum is pretty proud though!
Carpigiani Gelato University is a “concept” that has been designed and developed to promote and communicate the culture of artisan ice cream. This course is suitable for both existing users of gelato equipment, as well as those contemplating a foray into the world of commercial gelato production. It’s taught by only the best Gelatierre’s around the world, hand picked by the Italian Carpigiani head honchos.
