Where can I collect my online order?
When you order your cake online, it will give you an option of where you want to collect your cake from. You can pick up from the following locations:
STANDARD CAKES: Rosebery, Darlinghurst, Bondi, Miranda, Parramatta, Tramsheds, Fitzroy, Richmond, Windsor, Coolangatta, South Brisbane
Please allow 2 working days when ordering online.
Cake pick in store (24 hours or less):
Bondi, Star & Surry Hills do have cake cabinets with standard classic stock which is replenished every day, and we can hold cakes for up to 24 hrs ONLY. Unfortunately cakes available in these stores are not customisable and pre-ordered cakes cannot be picked up here.
Taking your cake home
REMEMBER, IT’S GELATO, SO ALL CAKES MUST BE STORED IN A FREEZER
Our recommended safe travel time for cakes is 30 mins from store to freezer.
Depending on the outside temperature and the mode of transport, safe travel times will vary so always allow a good buffer just in case. Using an esky, cooler bag and/ or dry ice can extend the safe travel time we suggest, but don’t push your luck, it really depends on temperature and climatic conditions on the day. Use your noggin… if it’s a really hot day and you don’t have a cooler bag, make the trip snappy!
To enhance the flavours and assist in cutting, the cake should be removed from the freezer and placed in the fridge 20 mins prior to serving. This will allow the cake to thaw/soften moderately (assuming the cake has been stored in a standard freezer at -18°C for more than 3 hrs). If the freezer is not as cold as it should be because it’s old or packed full of stuff, the cake can simply be taken out of the freezer and left to stand for 5-10 mins before serving. Always use a hot, sharp knife and ensure you wipe off any excess water to prevent depositing ice crystals on the cake.
